Q. Who am I?
A. Helen Driscoll, President – QYL | Solicitor – Rose Litigation
Q. What is your motto in life?
A. “If you keep your feet firmly on the ground, you’ll have trouble putting on pants” AKA [meaning], it’s important to aim high and dream, otherwise you’ll limit yourself!
Q. Can you give us your brief career highlights?
A. A few that things I can think of are:
- Establishing a pro bono clinic with Ronald McDonald House SEQ for house residents
- Mustering the courage to change practice areas and start from scratch (Insurance and Personal Injury to Commercial Litigation)
- And of course having the immense honour and privilege to have been Vice President and now President of this amazing organisation that is Queensland Young Lawyers and hopefully making a difference to my peers and colleagues!
Q. If not a lawyer, you would be?
A. Doubling and perhaps substituting Reese Witherspoon in any legal and blonde related movies. Otherwise, a high tea shop lady.
Q. What are you most passionate about?
A. My four-legged partner in crime, Beau and maintaining my fierce reputation as a burpee queen at F45.
