Law Image successfully delivers an urgent printing job over a Christmas weekend.
The Project
One of our clients, a government agency, approached us with an urgent bulk printing request. They required us to print 53,000 pages, 3 copies, with a mix of A4 and A3 pages, totalling 159,000 pages. The job also involved managing documents, converting emails and Excel sheets, producing tabs as per folder divisions, inserting colour sheets between documents, and organising the printouts in folders.
Challenges faced:
We received the request on a Saturday, three days before the due date. Moreover, as it was the Christmas weekend, we had a tight deadline to meet. The sheer volume of the print job and the diverse printing requirements made the task even more challenging.
Our Approach
We immediately assembled a team of experienced professionals to handle the job. We used our state-of-the-art printing equipment and software to ensure the job was done efficiently and effectively. Our team worked round the clock throughout the weekend to ensure the printouts were completed on time.
In order to efficiently manage the documents, the team began by converting all files to PDF format. This involved sorting through numerous folders, with each folder requiring a tab to be labelled with its respective name. Once the documents were appropriately organised, the team began printing them, including a single document that consisted of 9,000 pages. To ensure that the document was correctly indexed and easily navigable, the team manually inserted colour separators as per the provided index. With approximately 850 colour insertions required for each of the three copies, a total of 2,550 colour sheets were manually inserted.
While the process was time-consuming, the team’s attention to detail ensured the documents were accurately prepared and ready for use.
Successful Outcome
Despite the tight deadline and resource constraints, we were able to complete the job on time. We packed and delivered the prints to the client. The client was very pleased with the quality of the print job and appreciated our efforts in completing the task on time.
Overall, the project was a testament to our commitment to delivering quality legal printing services, even under challenging circumstances. We were able to leverage our expertise, experience, and technology to deliver results that exceeded our client’s expectations.
