International Self-Care Day is all about embracing a self-care habit in our daily lives!
This international self-care day’s theme is resilience. Juggling our daily routine, we learn and unlearn so many things, and that resonates with this year’s theme of being resilient.
Our day-to-day hustle requires us to withstand and recover from our stressed mind and body. As a result, we are trying hard to keep up with our daily schedule and business as usual. While the recent pandemic altered work styles for many of us, the reverberation of our fundamental well-being is still under question. However, it can start with a simple commitment to a better life, a simple thought, a promise! A self-care promise to your better self! It can be anything, for instance, meditating 10 minutes daily to walking 10k steps a day.
On this international self-care day, we took the initiative to promise ourselves better self-care for better health and well-being of our selves.
We at Law Image identified that we could start the chain from around us. As we spend almost 1/3rd of our time at work, we identified the need for self-care at work. To ensure that everyone is taking utmost care of their selves, we participated in the #SelfCarePromise. Herein, we urged everyone to take some time off to think about their self-care commitment and share it with everyone.
Let’s look at everyone’s #SelfCarePromise!
Basic Self-Care To-Do List For You
Herein, we share with you three basic activities you can engage in on International Self-care Day or any day of the year to avoid potential burnout due to unmanaged and neglected stress.
1. Meditate and Disconnect – For your mind
It is pretty tending in today’s age to avoid our stressed minds. Be it work or personal life, we are always connected; thus, it is prudent for us to disconnect and detox as much as possible. Meditating is one way to disconnect and calm your inner self. Here’s a quick guide on how to meditate:

2. Stretch and Rejuvenate – For your body
Plan to include the physical activity of your choice as a form to rejuvenate yourself from the mundane schedule. It could be swimming, running, yoga, or any dance form; it will not just help you distress but help you feel active in the long run.
3. Eat Healthy – For your well-being
What you eat is what you are! An unhealthy diet will only make you unhealthy. So, try to eat clean and healthy meals to help you restore your immunity and well-being.
These activities can help you distress, prevent burnout from work, and improve your mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
